    Bright friendly community with caveats

I moved my mom here and overall I'm pleased - the building is bright, well-kept and home-like, and the staff are overwhelmingly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable (Dawn and the activities team stood out). There are lots of activities, on-time exercise classes and outings, and meals are generally good though menu choices skew toward chicken and service can be slow at times. Memory care can be well-run, but I also saw staffing shortages, occasional medication/meal mishaps and some inconsistent housekeeping/maintenance. Management has been responsive and is making improvements, so I'd recommend this community with the caveat that you stay involved and advocate for your loved one.
