Sisters Mission is a family-owned and operated care home with over 20 years of experience in providing care for individuals who are disabled as well as the elderly. The facility is committed to delivering the highest quality of care and has a dedicated team that is essential to their success. The staff at Sisters Mission work tirelessly to ensure that all residents receive social, emotional, and physical care with the utmost respect and compassion.
The primary goal of Sisters Mission is to create a comfortable and homelike environment for residents while also addressing their medical needs. The facility strives to promote independence and personal dignity, ensuring that each individual has a lifestyle that is tailored to their unique needs and preferences. The care provided at Sisters Mission is designed to optimize the well-being of residents while fostering a sense of community and support within the facility.
Sisters Mission has a rich history, formerly known as "Little Sisters of the Poor," a religious community founded by Saint Jeanne Jugan during the French Revolution. Jugan's dedication to caring for the elderly inspired others to join her in her mission, leading to the establishment of the Sisters of the Poor. Over the years, the Little Sisters of the Poor provided compassionate care to thousands of indigent elderly individuals in St. Louis. In 2018, the Little Sisters made the decision to withdraw from St. Louis, and Sisters Mission, under the Affinity Rehabilitation & Long Term Care Group, has continued their legacy of caring for the elderly with compassion and dedication.
At Sisters Mission, the focus is on providing personalized care that meets the individual needs of each resident, while also fostering a sense of community and support within the facility. The team at Sisters Mission is dedicated to upholding the values of respect, compassion, and dignity in every aspect of care, ensuring that residents feel valued and supported in their daily lives.
