    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews of The Preserve at Meridian is strongly positive across multiple dimensions, with frequent praise for staff, the physical environment, amenities, dining, and programming. Reviewers consistently describe the facility as clean, beautiful, and well-maintained — often noting a spa-like feel, attractive outdoor spaces and courtyard, a welcoming dining room, and good landscaping. Multiple comments call the campus a "hidden gem" or a level above comparable facilities, emphasizing that the property feels home-like and is superbly kept.

Staff quality and interpersonal interaction are the most commonly cited strengths. Reviews repeatedly highlight friendly, compassionate, and attentive employees at all levels — with particular, repeated praise for front desk personnel (commonly named Lakeela/Keela Kersh) and for individual staff members such as Terri and the wellness director. Commenters note that staff are professional, calm under pressure, kind, and go "above and beyond"; several reviews cite proactive communication, emotional as well as physical care, and strong staff–resident relationships. Tour experiences and interactions with marketing staff are described as informative and educational, and many reviewers say they highly recommend the community on the basis of these impressions.

Amenities and services are frequently listed among the pros. On-site features mentioned include a salon, on-site physical therapy, a spa-like environment, and a variety of recreational and educational activities. Residents and family members report an active social life, with plenty of activities, new friendships, and a supportive, family-oriented atmosphere. Food, housekeeping, and maintenance also receive positive mentions: the kitchen staff and dining are described as "great," maintenance as responsive, and housekeeping as taking pride in appearance.

Despite the largely positive tone, a small but serious cluster of negative reports raises important concerns that prospective residents and families should consider. Several reviews allege inadequate supervision in memory care — citing instances of a resident falling twice, a delayed EMS response after a hip fracture, and an asserted death attributed by the reviewer to negligence. These are grave allegations and stand in stark contrast to the many other reviews praising attentive care. In addition to the safety concerns, a few reviewers mention rude or negligent staff behavior in specific incidents and express frustration with what they feel are aggressive rent collection practices. There are also repeated requests for greater upfront information and transparency about policies, costs, and care practices, and some reviewers explicitly identify affordability as an issue.

Management, communication, and transparency show mixed signals in the reviews. On the positive side, the marketing and wellness staff are portrayed as knowledgeable and responsive, often keeping families informed during care events. Several reviewers singled out staff who "went above and beyond" during moves or medical incidents and praised the community for its home-like feel and individualized attention. On the cautionary side, requests for clearer, more transparent information prior to move-in and concerns about billing/collection and memory care oversight suggest areas where management could focus improvements.

Patterns and recommendations for prospective residents/families: the preponderance of reviews emphasize a warm community, engaged staff, excellent facilities, and robust programming — all strong reasons why many families highly recommend The Preserve at Meridian. However, because of the serious nature of the memory-care-related allegations and the reports about rent collection and transparency, prospective families should do targeted due diligence. Suggested steps include: ask for detailed information about staffing ratios and supervision protocols in memory care; request written emergency and incident response policies (including EMS response times and notification procedures); obtain clear, written details about rent, fees, and collection policies; and speak directly with current residents and families — especially those in memory care — to understand day-to-day practices. Balancing the overwhelmingly positive feedback about culture and amenities with careful questioning about safety, transparency, and costs will give a clearer picture for decision-making.
