Freedom House is a residential treatment program providing support to adults with severe mental illness or a dual diagnosis of mental illness and mild developmental disability. The program is designed to help individuals achieve greater independence by developing vocational and independent living skills. Based on the D.R.I.V.E.® for Life foundational principles, the program offers a comprehensive approach to mentoring and educating individuals on setting and achieving short- and long-term goals for lifelong success.
The D.R.I.V.E.® program at Freedom House surrounds individuals with support and encouragement to help them transition successfully to greater independence. A trauma-informed approach is utilized throughout the program to address underlying mental health needs and educational gaps. Participants receive weekly individual therapy and group therapy with a master’s prepared clinician, as well as psychiatric, nursing, and behavioral supports to ensure their holistic well-being.
With an average length of stay of nine to twelve months, Freedom House provides intensive services to support individuals in their journey towards independence. The program focuses on building vocational and independent living skills to enhance the quality of life for participants. Certified by Legitscript and accredited by organizations such as The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Freedom House upholds high standards of care for its residents.
