    Clean building but poor management

I liked the new, clean building and many caregivers were kind, patient, and engaged in memory-care activities, but my overall experience was negative. Administration was not transparent, promises weren't kept, and communication with family was poor - staff were clearly stretched thin and not always trained for memory care. My loved one received inadequate care and was transferred quickly; housekeeping, food, and safety protocols were inconsistent. I appreciate the caring staff, but I would not recommend placing a family member here until management fixes staffing, training, and transparency.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Pinnacle Place Memory Care is mixed, with a clear split between strong praise from many families and serious concerns from others. A substantial number of reviewers emphasize that the community delivers high-quality, specialized memory care: staff are described as caring, patient, dementia-trained, and proactive with medication management. Several reviewers noted a positive turnaround under new management, citing responsive administration, monthly family meetings that lead to action, and active outreach to families via methods like Facebook updates. The facility’s amenities and physical environment also attract praise; many describe the building as new or recently updated, clean, with pleasant outdoor walking areas, a hair salon, exercise room, and neighborhood layouts that group residents by similar care needs.

Care quality is a dominant theme and remains inconsistent across accounts. Numerous reviews state that residents receive compassionate, personalized attention and engaging activities (gardening, exercise, occasional trips, and active activities staff). On the clinical side, some families note the presence of an on-site nurse and three levels of care, and commend excellent medication management and regular communication. These reviewers felt comfortable leaving loved ones at Pinnacle Place and in some cases highly recommended the community for memory-care needs.

Counterbalancing the positive reports are multiple serious complaints that suggest variability in staffing, training, and clinical oversight. Several reviewers report chronic understaffing or stretched staff, leading to limited contact with residents, insufficient assistance (residents left in bed, not toileted or repositioned), and fewer group activities than expected. There are accounts alleging that staff lacked promised memory-care training and that administrators were not transparent about the facility’s capabilities. More alarming are specific safety-related reports: alleged neglect after falls, no proper post-fall paperwork, and at least one case where a resident was rapidly transferred out (within 28 hours), with families asserting promises were not fulfilled. These negative reports sometimes include claims of uncaring or incompetent nursing staff, high staff turnover due to pay and scheduling, and poor weekend responsiveness.

Communication and management reputation are also polarized. Positive reviewers describe informative, helpful administrators (some named staff received specific praise) who answer questions, guide families through transitions, and hold monthly family meetings. Conversely, other reviewers describe unresponsive or money-focused front office behavior, deceptive promises by administration, and poor follow-through. The divergence suggests that experiences vary by unit, time period, or which administrators are on duty; one reviewer specifically noted an improvement following a management change, implying that leadership changes materially affect quality.

Facility operations and amenities draw mixed evaluations. Many praise the clean environment, well-kept apartments, homey dining area, and outdoor common spaces. At the same time, housekeeping inconsistencies (rooms rarely cleaned, carpet stains) and maintenance issues (broken air conditioning) are mentioned. Dining opinions range from “good food” with menu options to “horrible food” and weight loss concerns reported by families. Activities were frequently noted as engaging, but some reviewers observed limited group activities or an overall nursing-home atmosphere rather than a vibrant memory-care community.

Patterns and practical considerations: cost and placement limitations were raised — Pinnacle Place does not accept Medicaid, which affects affordability and accessibility for some families. Reviews suggest variability over time and across staff shifts (weekend vs weekday). Multiple reviewers urge caution: several highly recommend the community, while others strongly warn against it, advising families to seek other options. Taken together, these reviews indicate that the facility can deliver excellent memory-focused care and family communication under certain conditions (adequate staffing, responsive management), but there are significant, recurring concerns about staffing levels, training consistency, clinical oversight, communication lapses, and occasional safety incidents. Prospective families should visit multiple times, ask about current staffing levels and training programs, request details on fall protocols and post-fall documentation, verify management stability and responsiveness, and confirm financial/insurance eligibility before deciding.
