    Caring staff, excellent amenities, caveats

I live here and have been impressed by the caring, knowledgeable staff and the many activities and amenities - gym, saltwater pool, on-site PT, movie theater, beauty shop, library, bistro and frequent special events. My modern, well-sized apartment (full kitchen, balcony, big closets) and the beautiful, serene grounds make the place feel like home in a great location. Dining and events were excellent, but food quality has become inconsistent lately and a large rent increase has me questioning value. Transition to memory care was smooth and the care there is excellent. Overall I'm happy with the staff, setting and amenities, but watch for higher costs and occasional service/cleanliness hiccups.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is largely positive, with frequent praise for staff, the quality of care (especially memory care), the modern facility, and a broad range of amenities and activities. Multiple reviewers highlight staff as a major strength — described as friendly, helpful, loving, attentive, and knowledgeable — and several accounts single out a smooth, well-managed transition into memory care, with family members expressing strong satisfaction and gratitude (one staff member, Melissa, was named for providing excellent support). The presence of on-site therapy and an in-house doctor contributes to confidence in clinical care and continuity for residents.

Apartment features and living spaces are consistently noted as attractive. Reviewers mention one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, many units with full kitchens, two bathrooms in some apartments, large closets, and private balconies or verandas overlooking courtyards or grounds. Weekly housekeeping and a generally upscale, contemporary open-space design are repeated positives. Some reviewers, however, called certain apartments smaller than expected, so unit size perception may vary by model.

The facility’s amenities are comprehensive and a recurring highlight: a saltwater pool, exercise room/gym, on-site physical therapy, movie theater, beauty shop, game room, library, and multiple dining areas including a bistro. Outdoor spaces, patios, a courtyard, and well-kept, farm-like landscaping contribute to a serene environment. Activities are frequent and varied; reviewers mention many weekday activities and stand-out special events (for example, a birthday party with a musician, Hawaiian dancers, appetizers, cake, and leis), which suggests an active social calendar that appeals to residents and families.

Dining receives mixed but important attention. Several reviews praise very good food and multiple dining venues, but there are also specific complaints that the food quality has declined over time — one reviewer states food was initially good but later “awful.” This decline, coupled with mentions of a large rent increase, has led to concerns about overall value for money. Prospective residents should therefore verify current menu quality, dining options, and how meal service and food sourcing are managed going forward.

Operational and management notes are generally positive but not without caveats. Multiple reviewers say staff are responsive and maintenance issues are fixed; management and caretakers are described as dedicated. At the same time, some reviewers report wait times for staff assistance and minor cleanliness issues (e.g., entryway or lobby not swept), indicating occasional lapses in routine upkeep or staffing responsiveness. The facility’s newer, upscale positioning and a waiting list imply popularity and demand, but also contribute to higher pricing and potential concerns about future cost increases.

In summary, Fleming Farms Senior Living is portrayed as a modern, well-appointed community with robust amenities, a strong activity program, attentive staff, and particularly strong memory care services. The main areas to investigate further are dining consistency and recent rent increases/value for money, as well as confirming unit sizes and current housekeeping practices. For prospective residents and families: schedule an in-person visit, tour specific apartment models, attend a meal or request a sample, speak with staff about staffing levels and response times, and ask for a history of fee increases and what they cover to make an informed decision.
