    Clean, friendly staff; interior sterile

I've enjoyed my time here - the place is extremely clean, staff are friendly and genuinely caring, and residents seem happy with good companionship and family visits. It's a nice, comfortable spot for elderly care, with a smoking room for residents and helpful virtual resources (Google Drive). Outdoors has been renovated, but the interior still feels a bit sterile and activities can be boring.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing cleanliness, attentive caregiving, and a pleasant social environment for residents. Cleanliness is repeatedly highlighted — reviewers describe the facility as "extremely clean" and "very clean," which suggests strong housekeeping and infection-control practices. Equally prominent is the quality of staff interactions: staff are consistently characterized as friendly, genuinely caring, and attentive. Several summaries explicitly state that residents are happy and well cared for, and visitors enjoyed their time, indicating that day-to-day care and basic needs are being met reliably.

The facility presents a mixed picture in terms of physical environment. On the positive side, reviewers note outside renovations and generally describe the facility as "very nice," which suggests investment in curb appeal and exterior upkeep. However, multiple summaries also point to a sterile feel inside and that the interior appears largely unchanged. This contrast between a well-maintained exterior and a more dated or clinical interior is a recurring theme; while the building is clean, the decor and interior atmosphere may not feel warm or home-like to some visitors and residents.

Social life and activities emerge as a notable area for improvement. Several reviewers describe the activities as "boring," which indicates limited variety or engagement in programming. Despite that, reviewers also mention a strong sense of togetherness, companionship, and family-like relationships among residents and with friends and family. This suggests that while formal activities may be limited, informal social bonds and a supportive community culture are present and valued by residents and relatives.

Technology and communication are mentioned positively in a few summaries: there are notes about "good virtual, Google Drive," implying the facility uses digital tools effectively for sharing information or maintaining communication with families. This is a strength for family engagement and documentation, particularly for relatives who follow care remotely. One specific facility feature mentioned is an on-site smoking room for residents. While this is a positive accommodation for smokers, it is also identified as a potential concern for non-smoking residents, visitors, or those sensitive to smoke.

In summary, review themes point to a facility that excels in cleanliness, staff compassion, and creating a caring environment where residents feel happy and supported. Physical upgrades appear to be focused on the exterior, while the interior retains a more sterile or unchanged ambiance that some may find less inviting. Activities programming seems to be an area that could benefit from enhancement to increase engagement and reduce perceptions of boredom. Communication and use of virtual tools are strengths, and accommodations such as a smoking room show responsiveness to resident needs but may also present trade-offs. Overall, the center appears to be a solid choice for elder care based on care quality and staff interaction, with opportunities to improve interior warmth and activity offerings to better match the positive impressions of cleanliness and staff.

    About Blackfeet Care Center

Blackfeet Care Center sits in North Browning at 728 South Government Square, offering a wide range of care and support for older adults, and the Blackfeet Tribe oversees its daily operations as a small, nonprofit, government-owned nursing home with room for 47 residents. The center provides medical, social, and rehabilitation services aimed at helping people who aren't in an acute illness phase get back to where they can care for themselves, and you'll see skilled nursing care, therapy, social work, and round-the-clock healthcare from staff who average over four and a half hours of direct care per resident each day. There's a memory care community designed for people with Alzheimer's and dementia that features secure environments, specialized programs, and memory-boosting activities, and the place also assists with daily needs like bathing, dressing, transfers, medication management, and provides meals that work for most diets, including diabetes-friendly choices, served in a dining room where folks can socialize. Blackfeet Care Center takes in both short-term rehab patients and permanent residents, supporting people who need everything from basic help with chores, meals, and bathing to advanced medical care like wound care, injections, catheter help, and IV therapy, plus mental wellness programs. The staff makes sure residents stay safe using pest exterminator services, fire and smoke alarm systems, and security systems, and there are infection prevention protocols along with constant staff education on dementia and incident reporting. There are both independent and assisted living options, meaning residents can get more or less help depending on what they need and how much they can still do on their own, and two-thirds of the residents are able to manage their daily care activities by themselves. The rooms are fully furnished, have kitchens, cable TV, phone and Wi-Fi, and the center has laundry and housekeeping, along with transportation services for outings and appointments. You'll also find amenities like a beauty salon, a garden, outdoor seating, a small library, and common areas for gathering with friends or family. Staff plan group activities, and the center provides preventative health services, keeping vaccination rates high and giving support for things like tube feeding or rehabilitation. Blackfeet Care Center develops care plans for everyone, protects residents' rights, and actively works to prevent abuse and neglect, with low emergency room visit rates showing solid on-site care. The place participates in regular health, fire, and safety inspections and holds both Medicare and Medicaid certifications, though the most recent ratings from government surveys show strength in staffing but lower scores in other areas, so anyone interested might want to look at recent inspection reports or talk directly with staff to get a clear picture of daily life.
