Woodlands Memory Care of Madison is a specialized memory care community located on a 7.3-acre property that abuts the Madison/Skowhegan town line. The 20,000 square-foot facility is designed to meet the unique needs of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other memory impairments. It is the first purpose-built, ground-up memory care facility in the area and can accommodate up to 42 residents. The community features a range of amenities aimed at promoting resident engagement and safety, including abundant natural light, home-scaled areas, an onsite beauty salon, and a large outside courtyard with walking paths, gardens, and gazebos.
Residents at Woodlands Memory Care of Madison have the option of staying in either private or double-occupancy rooms, with 10 private rooms and 16 double-occupancy rooms available. The monthly rental fee is based on a daily rate for single or double occupancy, and the community has a Provider Agreement with Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, allowing for a limited number of residents to have their residency subsidized by MaineCare. For individuals with long-term care insurance policies, there may be reimbursement options for residential care expenses, and residents have the flexibility of a month-to-month rental agreement.
