    Outstanding rehab and compassionate care

I placed my mother at Premier Place and am extremely happy - the nursing, CNAs, PT/OT and medical team were outstanding, therapy produced real gains, and staff (especially Marci and others) consistently went above and beyond. The building is beautiful, spotless and well-appointed, meals are restaurant-quality, and the social dining/activities create a warm, family atmosphere; the equity-sharing co-op is a nice bonus. It is pricey and we had a poor admissions experience and occasional language/communication hiccups, but for rehab and compassionate, professional care it's worth it if you can afford it. I highly recommend Premier Place for rehab and senior living.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews of Premier Place are overwhelmingly positive, with the dominant themes being exceptional clinical therapy programs, warm and professional staff, high-quality dining, and a luxurious, well-maintained environment. A large proportion of reviewers specifically praise the physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) teams, speech/swallowing therapy, and the facility’s ability to produce measurable rehabilitation outcomes — often calling it the best or top rehab option in the area. Many families and residents report rapid functional gains, improved mobility and swallowing, and quicker-than-expected recoveries attributed to focused, patient-oriented therapy.

Staffing and care quality: Reviewers repeatedly emphasize the kindness, compassion, and professionalism of nurses, CNAs, therapists, and ancillary staff. Numerous individual staff and leaders are mentioned by name (for example, Juan, Yari, Courtney Johnson, Marci, Krisandra, Kelly and others) and are credited with being responsive, helpful, and going above and beyond. Social workers and admissions staff are described as supportive, helping families through placement and transitions. While the majority of comments praise nursing and aide teams, a minority of reviews note disappointed expectations around CNA/nursing performance — indicating variability in experience for some families.

Facilities and rooms: The facility is described as clean, modern, and hotel-like with private, well-appointed rooms that commonly include private showers and bathrooms. Reviewers note the well-supplied rooms (recliners, TVs, good views), strong housekeeping and maintenance, and an overall peaceful, calming ambiance. Several reviews highlight upscale touches: leather recliners, restaurant-style dining rooms, and a luxury-hotel feel. Some reviewers also reference campus amenities such as a clubhouse, access to sandy beaches, private beach transportation, and pools, contributing to a resort-like perception for assisted living components.

Dining and dietary services: Dining is consistently mentioned as a major strength. Many reviewers describe restaurant-quality meals, delicious and nutritious cuisine, an excellent pastry chef, and dietary accommodations. Food is credited not just for nutrition but for boosting morale and enjoyment. A small number of reviewers, however, mentioned food being bland or less savory in specific instances, and there are isolated notes about meal ordering forms being available only in non-English languages.

Activities and community life: The community is portrayed as socially active with a wide variety of programs: live music, painting, movie nights, games, committees, sports, and entertainment. Reviewers mention an uplifting wing (500 wing) and an engaging activities director (Luck), and many praise the community dining setting for sociability. A few reviewers said activities had been reduced or inconsistent compared with past offerings, and some residents’ medical limitations limited their ability to participate despite programming being available.

Management and communication: Multiple reviews praise leadership for responsiveness, teamwork, and visible engagement with families. Several staff members in management or social services are singled out for exemplary performance and for arranging aftercare and follow-up. Admissions experiences are mostly described as smooth and helpful, although there is at least one strongly negative admissions account that alleges mismanagement and poor communication.

Notable concerns and variability: While overwhelmingly positive, the reviews reveal a handful of recurring and some serious concerns that prospective residents and families should verify directly. Several reviewers report a language barrier among staff members with limited English, which created communication challenges and concerns about care accuracy. A few reviews complain about slow response times to basic needs and disruptive overnight procedures (for example, 3 a.m. blood draws). There are isolated but significant allegations about medication errors, questionable licensure/credentialing, and an uncomfortable scale practice (using a chair) — these are not common across most reviews but are notable when present. COVID-related restrictions impacted some residents’ experiences, and some families noted activity programming had decreased compared with prior years. Cost and access issues (co-op model, pricey units, and long waiting lists) were also mentioned by several reviewers.

Patterns and recommendations for prospective residents: The dominant pattern is consistent praise for clinical excellence (therapy and nursing), culinary quality, cleanliness, and a welcoming staff culture. However, experiences are not uniformly perfect — variability appears in language proficiency, some staff interactions, and a few operational practices. Prospective residents and families should consider asking the facility directly about: staff language policies and interpreter availability, night-time clinical routines and how they minimize sleep disruptions, medication administration safeguards and licensure verification, staffing ratios during nights/weekends, current activity schedules and any recent changes, and specific admissions/bed-availability procedures given reports of long waiting lists and co-op features. Verifying these operational details will help confirm the overwhelmingly positive clinical and hospitality attributes reported by the majority of reviewers while addressing the specific, isolated concerns raised in other accounts.

Bottom line: Premier Place comes across as a top-tier rehabilitation and assisted-living option in its market — praised for clinical outcomes, compassionate staff, excellent dining, and a hotel-like environment. Most reviewers strongly recommend the facility and cite peace of mind, measurable rehab success, and a genuinely caring team. A small number of divergent, sometimes serious complaints highlight that experiences can vary, so targeted questions about communication, medication safety, and certain operational practices are advisable before committing.

    About Premier Place

Premier Place sits in Pelican Bay, Florida, as part of The Glenview at Pelican Bay, and you'll find that folks who come here notice right away that the grounds are safe, with a protected nature trail and some nice views of a lake with a big, arcing fountain out back, and the building itself looks modern and well-lit, which helps everyone move around with confidence. The place stays open all day and night, every day, from Midnight to Midnight, making it easy for families to check in and settle in at any hour, and the check-in process stays simple so families feel alright about leaving their loved ones in care. Inside, there's always a nurse on hand 24/7, and residents can get professional, respectful care for daily needs, with a good group of kind and helpful nurses, and people seem happy with the care, since Premier Place has a reservation rating of 4.9 based on 20 reviews.

Seniors get a choice between independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing, which means a lot of different needs are met, and the independent folks live in apartments or penthouses that are called "luxurious," with weekly cleaning, apartment maintenance, laundry services, and full access to a bunch of handy amenities, including an electric charging station. People who need help with everyday things get assisted living services, which include help with bathing, dressing, and meals, but still let folks keep as much independence as possible, and there's continuous staff support with shared spaces so residents can gather for activities or meals. For folks dealing with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, memory care has a safe facility, personalized care plans, and activities meant to keep the mind and body busy. The skilled nursing team can help with medical care and short-term recovery programs, and there's always a focus on setting and reaching small goals to help people get back on their feet.

There's also a Health and Wellness Center with a 5-star rating built just for residents, and the onsite Health Center offers family medicine, women's health, behavioral health, pediatrics, internal medicine, nutrition counseling, and preventative care, so there's a pretty wide reach in terms of what's available, and the center runs as a nonprofit focused on serving the Naples community with special attention to those who might have a harder time getting care. Folks in rehab get help in well-appointed rooms, and the walk from the apartments to medical help at Premier Place doesn't take long, making it easier for those with mobility needs. Concierge home care is tailored to each person, and families get extra guidance for long-term care, insurance, and advice for family caregiving.

Premier Place puts a lot of effort into supporting an active life. There's a full schedule of social, educational, and fun activities to help residents make friends and keep their minds sharp, and activities run in shared rooms, plus outside along the nature trail where folks can walk. Amenities are set up to feel like home-there are resort-style touches and plenty of comfortable spots where people can relax or read, and there's always room to join in the day's program no matter your needs or abilities. Every resident gets a care plan fitted to their situation. The team of skilled healthcare professionals aims to keep everyone feeling respected, valued, and at ease, and, as part of a community health center with multiple accreditations, Premier Place works to offer accessible care, health education, and outreach to improve wellness for everybody living there.
