At Our Home Sweet Home, we offer a range of courses designed to provide the necessary training and education for individuals working in community-based residential facilities (CBRFs). Our courses are approved by the UW Greenbay Registry, ensuring that participants meet the necessary requirements for the Wisconsin CBRF First Aid and Choking Registry. Whether taken virtually or in person, our courses cover essential topics such as CPR, AED, prompt treatment, bleeding, shock, blood borne pathogens, personal protective equipment, and hand hygiene.
One of our comprehensive courses is the 3.5-hour training that includes instruction on identifying and responding to emergencies, as well as fire hazards. This course, like many others at Our Home Sweet Home, can be taken in person or through our approved distance learning program via Zoom. Upon completion, participants will be added to the Wisconsin CBRF Registry, furthering their professional development and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
For those looking to delve deeper into medication procedures and documentation, our 14-hour (two day) course is an ideal option. This course covers all aspects of medication management in CBRFs and includes registry with the UW Greenbay. Participants will learn essential skills and knowledge, both through in-person sessions and virtually through our approved distance learning program via Zoom. Our goal is to provide comprehensive training that equips individuals with the necessary tools to excel in their roles within CBRFs and ensure the well-being of residents.
At Our Home Sweet Home, we also offer courses on business registration, licensure applications, choosing a location, funding options, key elements of AFH regulations, program statements, admissions agreements, individual service plans, and more. These courses are designed to support individuals in starting and running successful CBRFs, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to create a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
