Our Place I is a Class AA, Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This warm and welcoming facility serves up to 18 adults with mental or emotional disorders who are unable to live on their own. The services offered at Our Place are specifically designed to encourage independent living skills while also working to reduce or stabilize psychiatric symptoms. The dedicated staff at Our Place work closely with each resident to help them achieve their personal goals and improve their overall quality of life.
Residents at Our Place are required to be fully ambulatory and physically and mentally capable of responding to protect themselves in an emergency situation without assistance. Typically, residents are referred by a county case manager and may be court ordered for protective placement. The facility is staffed by certified nursing assistants, mental health technicians, social workers, and activities personnel, all of whom have an average of 7 years of experience within the CBRF setting and working with mental health issues.
Potential residents are assessed by the social workers at Our Place to ensure they will benefit from the program before being placed if a bed is available. If necessary, residents may be placed on a waiting list until an appropriate time for them to enter the facility. Once admitted, residents receive personalized care to help them meet their individual plan goals, including assistance with personal care, improving public transportation skills, work and education skills, community integration, socialization, and money management. Additionally, staff provide residents with information on available community resources, services, and programs that may be beneficial to them.
Overall, Our Place I aims to provide a supportive and enriching environment for adults with mental or emotional challenges, helping them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
