London Lodge I is a family owned and operated assisted living facility that was established in 1995 by Meg Pennewell. Meg is the licensee and administrator of London Lodge I, and she runs the facility with her husband and a dedicated team of Resident Care Professionals. The facility is comprised of two eight-bed community-based residential facilities in Cambridge, WI, as well as a four-unit Supported Home Care Apartment building in Jefferson, WI. Meg's inspiration for creating London Lodge I came from her various experiences working in long term care settings, where she saw the need for a home-like environment that caters to the individual needs of residents.
Located in a country setting surrounded by nature, London Lodge I aims to provide a unique and resident-focused experience for its residents. The facility is nestled among mature pines, bordered by a wildlife preserve, and landscaped with perennials. Residents can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables grown on the property and ample space for children to play and dogs to roam. Meg and her husband work tirelessly to maintain the family-oriented atmosphere of London Lodge I, drawing on their own experiences raising their children in this environment.
The Lodge's setting was inspired by Meg's grandparents' cabin in northern Wisconsin, with a focus on nature, pets, wildlife, and family. Meg's grandparents spent their final years at London Lodge I, passing on their love for nature and commitment to family to future generations. The facility aims to care for residents until the end of their lives, incorporating additional nursing services and support staff through Hospice when needed. London Lodge I strives to make the long-term care experience as easy as possible for residents and their families, providing a place that feels like home and offers peace of mind.
