    Clean homey care with activities

I stayed short-term and found a clean, homey place with warm, attentive staff who knew residents by name and provided excellent care. The atmosphere is lively with many activities, bus service to shopping/appointments, a beauty parlor, TV/organ/bible study, cats, and safe outdoor walking areas by a lovely lakeside park. Rooms are small and the building is older and the menu could be better, but meals are accommodating-overall I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is clearly positive, with the strongest and most consistent praise directed at the staff and the community atmosphere. Reviewers repeatedly describe staff as warm, kind, excellent, and friendly; several comments note that staff know residents by name and provide close supervision when activities have safety risks. Care quality impressions are favorable — phrases like "great care," "staff is best," and "highly recommend" occur multiple times, indicating that families and residents feel well looked-after and supported.

Activity programming, social life, and amenities are other prominent strengths. Multiple reviewers highlight a lively environment with many activities, from religious programming like bible study to casual entertainment such as a TV room and organ. Practical services and conveniences are also emphasized: bus transportation to shopping and appointments, an on-site beauty parlor, and accommodating meal options. The presence of cats and a generally cheerful atmosphere are noted as enhancing homeliness and resident satisfaction. Several reviewers mention that residents are pleased with the variety and availability of activities.

Facility condition and grounds receive mixed but generally favorable remarks. The building and grounds are described as clean and, in some areas, newly updated with inviting décor and a homey dining room. Outdoor features are a clear asset: an inviting outdoor area, a safe walking area, and proximity to a lakeside park with walking paths and sunset viewing add quality-of-life value and make the location attractive to visitors and family. At least one reviewer specifically cites the facility's proximity to family and the beauty of the surrounding city as positives.

However, there are recurring concerns that potential residents should consider. Several reviews point out that rooms are small and bathrooms feel institutional, and one or more reviewers explicitly call the building "older". Dining receives mixed feedback: while some praise accommodating meals and better-quality options, others say the menu could be improved. A few comments suggest the facility has everything needed for a short stay, implying it may be best suited for short-term or transitional residents rather than those seeking more spacious accommodations or higher-end amenities for long-term residency.

In summary, Heritage Heights appears to be a well-run, clean, and community-oriented senior living option with exceptionally strong staff performance, robust activities, convenient transportation services, and pleasant outdoor spaces. It will likely appeal most to families and residents who prioritize personalized care, social engagement, and a friendly, homey atmosphere. Prospective residents who require larger private rooms, upgraded bathroom layouts, or a consistently high-end dining experience should weigh these limitations when making a decision, but for many, the attentive staff, active programming, and attractive outdoor setting will outweigh those drawbacks.

    About Heritage Heights

Heritage Heights at Lake Chelan sits at 505 E Highland Ave in Chelan, WA and has a 4.8-star quality rating based on reviews, and you'll find a calm, lakeside park with walking paths right nearby that folks enjoy when the weather's nice, and when you go inside, you'll see they've got a supportive, down-to-earth atmosphere and the team there works at building true relationships with residents, some caregivers sticking with the place for over 15 years. The facility has 32 licensed beds and 38.30 WHCA beds with an occupancy of about 38 percent, providing assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care for people with Alzheimer's and dementia, and even end-of-life suites for those who need it, all organized in a model where seniors can get more care as their needs grow. Heritage Heights opens at 8 a.m. on weekdays and closes on weekends, with services running in English and all-inclusive pricing, so meals, care, and services come together in one monthly fee, and they've got licensed status backed by the state and are owned by Senior Services of America. They offer studio apartments and single room units, each room with its own kitchenette and wired for cable, and the whole place is designed to make it easy for seniors to get around and feel at home, with common areas, TVs, indoor lounges, plus a secure outdoor patio with Legacy Grant-funded furniture up in the Memory Care unit. Meals are provided every day with a focus on nutrition; residents eat together in the community dining room, and there's in-house laundry for clothes and linens, as well as dry cleaning and regular housekeeping. Healthcare supports include diabetic care, medication help, incontinence care, and services for non-ambulatory residents, and the care team offers palliative and respite care. Heritage Heights supports community life with activities like devotional meetings, game nights, offsite trips, a cooking club, as well as regular family communication and updates about residents' health. Amenities include on-site haircuts and barbers, team members trained in memory care, and end-of-life care, and you'll find special spaces for both independent adults (who want less help day-to-day) and those who need extra assistance, all in a setting that tries to bring a familiar, welcoming feeling with a structure that puts comfort, health, and independence at the center of things.
