    Clean cheery facility, loving staff

I'm very happy with my choice - the facility is clean, cheery and well kept, with a smart one-level/loop design and an excellent memory-care unit that gave us real peace of mind. Staff are warm, loving and often go the extra mile; residents are engaged with frequent activities, appetizing meals, and a home-like atmosphere. A few issues: occasional miscommunication, some nonlicensed or disrespectful caregivers, and staffing could be a bit higher (I had one poor dining incident). Still, overall very close to perfect - I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with repeated emphasis on compassionate, attentive care and a clean, well-kept environment tailored to memory-care needs. Many reviewers highlight that the facility feels like a warm, home-like setting where residents are kept safe and engaged. The memory-care building in particular receives praise for being thoughtfully designed for residents who once were very active — reviewers mention a cheery atmosphere, themed, location-based activity spaces (such as an office with a typewriter and a mechanics shop), and a loop layout that supports safe wandering and purposeful movement.

Staff quality and resident engagement are the most commonly praised aspects. Reviewers consistently describe staff as kind, loving, respectful, and proactive — with multiple personal anecdotes about staff making residents laugh, sing, dance, or receive one-on-one attention. Several families credit staff with improving quality of life, easing guilt, and providing comfort during end-of-life care. Specific staff members are called out positively for resolving issues quickly and coordinating care effectively. The caregiving team is also noted for good housekeeping and keeping both rooms and grounds clean and attractive.

Programming and activities are another standout theme. The facility appears to offer frequent, varied activities (often 5–6 days a week) including bingo, crafts, ice cream and pizza socials, seasonal events, shopping and field trips (Walmart and other outings), and family luncheons. Reviewers appreciate that residents can participate or remain in their rooms depending on preference. Memory-care programming includes structured, location-based activities and individualized one-on-one time, which residents and families find effective and engaging.

Dining receives largely favorable comments: reviewers describe the food as healthy, appetizing, and smelling delicious. Social dining events and festive luncheons for families are mentioned positively. However, there are occasional negative mentions tied to dining, such as isolated complaints about staff behavior during meals that affected the dining experience.

Facility design, safety, and amenities are repeatedly praised. The secure, single-level design with activity centers throughout the hallways makes it well-suited for memory-care residents. Themed spaces throughout the memory unit are seen as thoughtful touches that foster reminiscence and meaningful engagement. Practical notes include that rooms are described as typical for assisted living (clean and nice) but the community does not offer two-bedroom units, which may limit options for couples or those needing larger spaces.

A few consistent concerns appear across reviews and are worth noting. Several reviewers indicate occasional miscommunication between caregivers and families, and a perception that the facility could use additional staff — both for coverage and to ensure every shift has experienced/licensed caregivers. There are specific comments that not all care staff are licensed, which family members listed as a concern. A small number of reviews recount disrespectful or poor behavior by individual staff during meals or interactions; these seem to be isolated incidents amid many positive accounts but are important to acknowledge. Finally, popularity of the community is evident in reports of a long waiting list, which may delay move-in for interested families.

In sum, the overarching picture is of a highly regarded assisted living and memory-care community with strong strengths in compassionate staffing, purposeful memory-care design, robust activities, good meals, and a clean, secure environment. Most critical feedback centers on staffing levels, occasional communication lapses, and limited room variety. Prospective families should weigh the overwhelmingly positive caregiver and program reports against those operational concerns and may want to ask about staffing ratios, licensing, and waitlist timing during a tour or conversation with management. If immediate availability, two-bedroom options, or guaranteed licensed-staff coverage are priorities, those should be clarified up front; otherwise the facility appears to deliver a high level of care and family satisfaction for memory-care residents.

They do a lot to support people living with memory issues through individualized care plans, memory care programs focused on keeping minds active, and visits from the greater community or families. Healthcare staff help with bathing, dressing, medicines, transfers, diabetes needs, and other personal care, and there's support for mental wellness too, with respite short-term stays and hospice if needed. The place is safe, with fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, electronic security, and each apartment has an emergency call device. There's community transportation for rides to appointments and errands, plus parking on-site, and the property's on a bus line for convenience. They offer incontinence care, non-ambulatory care, help with medications and diabetic care, service on outings, and weekly housekeeping.
