Second Spring North is a Community Recovery Residence that was established in 2013 with the goal of providing a safe and professional environment for residents. The program offers a curriculum of daily living activities to promote engagement and collaboration among staff and residents. Each resident has a single-occupancy room furnished with essential items, and all utilities are included in the monthly fee. The facility also provides laundry facilities, clean linens, and access to common areas equipped with entertainment options such as televisions, books, and musical instruments.
Visitation is allowed between 8 AM and 8 PM, following guidelines set forth by health authorities. COVID-19 protocols are strictly followed to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors. Residents at Second Spring North come from diverse backgrounds and are transitioning from hospitalization to community living. They have the opportunity to participate in various activities, both within the facility and in the surrounding community. Residents are encouraged to engage in tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and group activities, and may even have the opportunity to earn a paycheck through offsite jobs.
Nutrition is considered essential to the recovery process at Second Spring North, with the facility offering healthy meal options and snacks. Residents are involved in menu planning and preparing meals, with accommodations made for individual preferences and dietary restrictions. The staff at Second Spring North prioritize the importance of food choices in promoting mental and physical health, and work with residents to make informed decisions about their nutrition. Through a program of engagement, education, and empowerment, residents are encouraged to take ownership of their choices and make positive changes for their well-being.
