The goal is to ensure that clients receive the highest quality care and the latest in low vision research to enhance their overall health outcomes.

In addition to health services, The Lighthouse of Houston Group Home I also offers technology evaluation and training, job skills, pre-employment and vocational employment training to help individuals who are blind or have low vision enhance their skills and increase their employability. Through a variety of programs, activities, and events, including an Adult Day Program and Youth Day Camps, the group home aims to empower individuals by enhancing their social skills, self-esteem, confidence, independence, and overall well-being.

The group home also provides independent living facilities for low-income disabled individuals at Lighthouse Living Centers I and II. Offering HUD 202 and Section 8 subsidized housing, the rent is determined by the individual or family's income level, making it an accessible option for those in need.
