Located in the Greater Pittsburgh area, Beaver Meadows is a state-of-the-art living assistance community owned by St. Barnabas, a nonprofit organization with a long history of serving retirees and older residents with comprehensive care. The facility offers a continuum of care to accommodate the changing needs and preferences of its residents, making it an ideal solution for those who require assistance with daily tasks but do not need the full capabilities of a clinical nursing home.
With a 75-bed capacity, Beaver Meadows provides a warm and caring residential setting for its residents, including accommodations for both single patients and couples. The community offers three meals a day prepared by a dietician, along with snacks and the ability to accommodate special dietary needs. Residents are cared for by attentive staff, with care attendants on duty 24/7, access to a nursing team, and regular visits from on-staff doctors and therapists as needed.
In addition to its standard living assistance services, Beaver Meadows also offers a Memory Care program for residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The program follows a person-centered model of habilitation therapy and provides highly-trained staff who offer compassionate care tailored to the specific needs of residents with memory impairment. Family and community involvement is encouraged through one-on-one and small group care, as well as support group meetings for family members and caregivers.
Residents at Beaver Meadows can take advantage of various amenities and services, including high-speed internet access, comfortable lounges for socialization and relaxation, buses for transport to appointments and outings, game nights, movie nights, visits from local performers and organizations, religious services in the chapel, and more. The facility is designed with safety in mind, from the non-combustible building construction to newly installed security alarms, ensuring a secure environment for residents.
