Rosen Place on 8th was created in response to the growing population in Stanley and surrounding areas, with a need for expanded healthcare services and living accommodations. Managed by MCHC, the facility offers a range of options including a Nursing Home, Assisted Living, and Independent Living, all designed to cater to the needs of the community. The decision to focus on assisted living was made after evaluating the immediate needs of the area, as there was a high demand for more accommodations in this category.
The Assisted Living complex at Rosen Place on 8th spans over 15,000 square feet and features 14 apartments, with a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Each apartment is designed to offer a comfortable living space, with a living area, kitchen with dining area, and warm finishes that create a cozy environment for residents. The complex also includes common areas such as a serving room, dining area, great room for activities and events, and a Family Room for more intimate gatherings.
One of the key benefits of Rosen Place on 8th is its location within the community, allowing seniors to remain close to their loved ones while receiving the care they need. This proximity reduces the stress and inconvenience of having to travel to larger towns for assisted living services. The facility is also linked to the adjacent Bethel Nursing Home via a corridor, facilitating seamless access to additional care services for residents.
In addition to the Assisted Living complex, MCHC also decided to build a new chapel on the grounds of Rosen Place on 8th. The 3,000 square foot Bethel Chapel addition provides seating for 50 people and features a beautiful stained-glass window designed by a local artist. This chapel not only serves as a place of worship but also hosts community events and provides a space for intimate gatherings. With the addition of the chapel, Rosen Place on 8th aims to offer a comprehensive continuum of healthcare services and become a Continuing Care Retirement Community for the local population.
