Annie's House is a care facility that has a rich history dating back to 1985 when it was originally founded as Diana's Boarding Home by Andrea's grandmother, Diana. After many years of dedicated service, Diana retired in 2021, and Andrea took over one of the facilities, rebranding it as Annie's House. Andrea has been involved in the business since 2009 and has been in management since 2015, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the role. Diana, despite retiring, couldn't stay away from the place she loved, and she returned in 2022 as an assistant and volunteer.
With a team that includes Elise managing medical and psychiatric needs, Ruth overseeing appointments and client funds, and Bailey, the therapy dog providing comfort and support, Annie's House is committed to providing a holistic and caring environment for its residents. The facility is equipped with 40 private beds and shared bathrooms, offering a sense of privacy and community. Residents have the opportunity to participate in weekly outings into the community, including trips to local attractions and even annual trips out of state with guardian approval.
Annie's House is dual-licensed through the Department of Mental Health and the Department of Health and Senior Services, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of care for its residents. The facility caters to male and female individuals aged 21 and older with mental and physical disabilities, who must have some form of income and insurance upon admission. The staff at Annie's House are dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for all residents, helping them feel at home and cared for. With a focus on community outings, personalized care, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Annie's House strives to be a place where residents can thrive and feel a sense of belonging.
