About Jinow Care

Jinow Care is a provider of Personal Care Assistant (PCA) services based in Minneapolis, MN. PCAs are trained workers who assist individuals in need of support with their daily activities. These services are typically offered to individuals who are on a state program such as Medical Assistance, waiver programs, or Alternative Care. The goal of personal assistance services is to help individuals maintain their independence and stay connected within their own communities.

PCAs provide assistance with a variety of tasks including activities of daily living such as eating, toileting, grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring, mobility, and positioning. They also offer support with health-related functions that may be delegated by a licensed healthcare professional, instrumental activities of daily living like meal planning, household chores, and community participation, as well as redirection and intervention for behavioral issues.

Individuals enrolled in Medical Assistance or a waiver program in Minnesota may have the option to either select their own individual worker or hire a home care agency to provide PCA services. If choosing to hire their own workers, they will need to select a PCA Choice provider who acts as a fiscal intermediary responsible for billing and paying workers. To be eligible for PCA services, individuals must be dependent in at least one activity of daily living or exhibit Level 1 behavior as determined by an assessment.

Jinow Care serves the Twin Cities metro area and many surrounding counties, providing essential support for individuals with disabilities who require assistance with routine activities both in their homes and in other settings. Personal care services offered by Jinow Care include assistance with personal hygiene, clothing care, ambulation, seating, toileting, housekeeping, food preparation, and environmental support. The focus of personal care is to provide necessary assistance and supervision for daily activities without including medical services.
