CourageLIVES is a dedicated care home that provides comprehensive support and resources to survivors of sex trafficking. Recognizing the deep trauma and devastation experienced by these individuals, the staff at CourageLIVES take a whole-person approach to their therapeutic and rehabilitative care. Each survivor is offered free services, including outpatient therapy, case management, housing support, transportation assistance, employment support, and educational assistance. Additionally, survivors have access to referrals to resources and service providers, as well as basic needs support through the Empowerment Pantry and Courage Clothing Closet.
The Empowerment Pantry at CourageLIVES offers emergency food, toiletries, baby items, pet items, and other household necessities to those in need. The Courage Clothing Closet provides clothing, footwear, and outerwear for adults and children, ensuring that survivors have access to essential items. Shower and laundry services are also available, providing survivors with a safe and supportive environment to care for themselves and their belongings. The overall goal of CourageLIVES is to offer survivors a place for healing, connection, and empowerment as they rebuild their lives.
Through outpatient services in the Greater Bangor area, CourageLIVES serves individuals aged 18 and over who have experienced sex trafficking.
