Guidance/Care Center, Inc. (GCC) is a nonprofit organization that provides behavioral health services, education, and support to individuals in the Florida Keys. With locations in Key Largo, Marathon, and Key West, GCC offers a range of services to benefit those in need. The center works collaboratively with other agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care and support.
GCC serves all clients regardless of their ability to pay, with discounts available for essential services based on family size and income. Women and pregnant women receive preference for services, and the center is committed to providing care to all who need it. Last year alone, GCC served over 14,000 individuals and provided more than 32,000 services to the community.
One of the key programs offered by GCC is the Community Action Team (C.A.T), which provides wrap-around care for youth with serious behavioral health conditions. This multidisciplinary team offers a safe and effective alternative for young people in need of support. Additionally, GCC provides a 24-hour triage service for all Monroe County residents, offering crisis response to avoid the need for psychiatric hospitalization or emergency room visits.
As a CARF accredited organization, GCC is committed to maintaining high standards of care for its clients. The center is sponsored by donations and client fees, with private donations welcome and tax-deductible.
