Once the admission criteria are met, the Caring House Admissions Office collaborates with the referral source, the Medical Director, and/or the hospital discharge planner to facilitate the transfer of the patient to the facility. The Medical Director at Gila River Indian Care Center assumes responsibility for the patient/resident upon admission and maintains communication with the individual's primary care provider as needed. The facility is certified by The Joint Commission, a recognition of its commitment to excellence in patient care.
